I have windows XP on my pc, when I try to boot, it flashes emachines and goes straight to a black screen with a small flashing white line at the top left corner. It will not do anything when I F8 or when I type anything in. It wont budge. Any help would be great. Thanks

That is half the min. for XP. You best have at least 128MB of RAM.
In fact 512 MB is much better.
