Computer turns it's self on?

Well I have a computer that is about 5 years old. And when we shut it down about 5 minutes later, turns itself back on!!! This has happened about 5 times and it is really weird it has never happened before.

Are you using a wireless keyboard or mouse? There are many options in the BIOS screens that will turn the computer on. Keystrokes, network, modem, etc.

I do have a wireless mouse but, I have had it for well over 2 months and I highly dought that it is the problem but I will try it anyway

or a loose power connection that makes the pc think the power was cut and to turn on when the power is restored. this is configurable in the bios
