This is going to sound strange but...I recently upgraded to a cable modem. For the last 3 days, I get home from work and the computer is powered on by itself. I know I put it in hibernation mode in the morning and never had this problem until the new cable connection. I checked in "scheduled" on the control panel but nothing is there,so where else should I look for the reason?

I just read it ...thanks! the only thing new in my copmputer is the cable modem. That isn't causing the trouble. I guess I will have to turn the computer completely off as that is the only way to insure it stays off. Even with the settings in the power managemnent to go into hiobernation mode after 45 minutes...it has no efefct at all. Ray
