This problem started 3 weeks ago. every time the cooling fan turns on the computer will freeze for 1 sec then starts responding again. This causes most of my games to stop responding which is getting very annoying especially when i'm playing online when this happens. It sounds like your power supply is either under powered or may be getting ready to take a dump. Try to disconnect one of the fans at a time and see if it stops. One of the fans could have a small short. DO NOT OVERTAX the system while doing this and do not unplug the cpu fan.
