My computer is running VERY slow. Aslo, the taskbar won't work at all. I can start it in SafeMode and it will work, however I can't get on the internet in SafeMode. I have scanned for Viruses with Norton several times, and nothing has come up. I have used ad-aware for spyware.

Does anyone have any advice at all?

First of all, you CAN access the internet in safe mode but it has to "Safe Mode with Communications" after you press F8, it gives you several options.

Secondly, does your Start Menu work as well as Quick Links and the System tray?

Can you right click on your task bar?

By the way, you might want to consider getting more RAM for your computer

No, the Start Menu, Quick Links, and the stystem tray don't work.

I've tried opening the computer up in "Safe Mode with Networking" alreayd, but I still wasn't able to get on the internet.

No, I can't right click on it. When I run my cursor over the taskbar it turn into an hourglass and won't allow me to do anything with it.

Next time you boot up your computer, hit ctrl-alt-delete the moment Window loads up and click on Processes.

First sort it by CPU and keep an eye on what's taking up most of the CPU.

Then click on Mem Usage and see what's taking up so much juice.

Then go to this web page:

http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/Startup-Control-Panel/3000-2094-1539340.html?tag=lst-0-3

and download and install the file.
AFter you install it, go to control panel and click on Startup and HKLN/Run and temporarily uncheck some things you think might be causing the problem.

By the way, if you wait a while (couple of minutes) does that hour glass go away and then are you able to use your taskbar.

And Michael, check out this page, I think it applies to you:
