my desk top computer shuts down after i enter my password?
i have tried everything still no good

It could be a number of things depending on the age of your PC. It could be memory, HD or a motherboard problem. Start with the simplest, if there are 2 sticks of ram, take one out and try that. If that doesn't make a difference, put ONLY the 2nd one in to see if it boots up.

tap f8 on bootup untill it gives you the safe mode option.
