Specs: windows xp, 2800+ Amd Athlon xp proce
my emachines T2865 desktop starts to boot up windows, then all the sudden my monitor says no signal. sometimes after that happens, i turn it off and on and it wont show nothing on my screen and the orange light infront of my computer stays lit. this all happend after i moved my computer from one room to another. so i was wondering if anyone knows what could be the prob, if my motherboard is burnt or if it is something else. LEDs will light up sometimes on the mobo but then shot off, and the screen goes to no signal.

emachines have reputation for using power supplies that are more likely than average to partially or completely fail.
If you are fortunate, you can just replace the power supply, and the computer will work fine again.
But you may not be fortunate.
Particularly if your power supply is a Bestec model, it is a lot more likely to damage something other than the power supply when it fails.

Start with the simple - check your monitor's connections in the back and to the cpu.
