Probably needs a new power supply.

I agree with Rich Mentzel. I once had a similar probleme (the computer refused to turn on, or froze after turning on, or stopped responding suddenly after running for a while, and so on).

I remember that someone told me to replace the power supply. Once I did it the problem vanished forever.

Good luck.

I once charged a guy $75 to tell him that once you press the power button on an ATX computer, you do not keep holding it in - and if you do the computer will power itself right off again. Minimum hourly rates are a beautiful thing.

Not that this has anything to do with your problem. I just thought I'd share.

Yea, sounds like a power supply issue to me. they are pretty easy to replace though, just take off the side panel and its the metal box with all the colored wires coming out of it. four screws hold it in on the back and and the wires can be pulled right out of their sockets, except fot the one on the motherboard, it has a little clip. A new power should be fairtly cheap, just ask for an atx power supply, they will probably give you a 350 and when you put it in, IF IT FITS, THATS WHERE IT GOES!
