Hi, my computer seems to be rebooting lately at regular intervals for no apparent reason, it never happened before. Please can anyone help? I have Win XP home.

Have you done this????

Right click My Computer,
Properties,
Advanced tab,
Settings button (Starup and Recovery),
uncheck Automatically Restart.

Now you should get an error message when it happens again.

Fat32????? Yesssss
NTFS????? Noooooooo, always spontaneous reboot.
even if u have 'automatically restart' turned off in the 'Startup and Recovery' settings.
You will get error messages, but this is a friendly way of telling you Blue Screen of Death.

Hope this helps

Just figured I would comment on the NTFS.. I have NTFS and My system hasn't been restarted or turned off for weeks. I say its pretty good... On the other hand my system with Fat32 has the restarting problem.

It has nothing to do with NTFS pea63. Plenty of people run NTFS every day with no problems whatsoever.

Do as Chuck says and come back to us with the exact error message it gives you. We can try to work from there.
