Okay so I had my friend build me a computer a few months ago and every so often it would restart on its own.. Not doing a certain thing.. Playing a game.. Browsing the internet.. and so on.
I did eventvwr.msc in the Run option and I get two errors that pop up the same time my computer restarts
Unloading the performance counter strings for service WmiApRpl (WmiApRpl) failed. The Error code is the first DWORD in Data section
The performance strings in the Performance registry value is corrupted when process Performance extension counter provider. BaseIndex value from Performance registry is the first DWORD in Data section, LastCounter value is the second DWORD in Data section, and LastHelp value is the third DWORD in Data section.
I did try to do a google search.. but its so long nothing gets found..
And if you can't tell I don't know anything about computers.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Xelos, random restarts may indicate a variety of things. First thing that comes to mind is some sort of nasty (virus, worm/trojan, etc.). I'd scan first & go from there.
