Computer Not Booting

I added another 64 SDRAM to the computer and when I turned the computer on I got a black screen after a few beeps. Everything else seems to be working...fans, drives, etc. I removed the additional ram leaving the original and restarted the computer but got the same beeps and black screen. Any answers out there for me?

A few beeps followed by a blank screen is an indication of improperly seated ram if all other components are functioning correctly. Try taking out the ram and reseating..following anti-static guidlines. (ground yourself by holding onto the Pc case while touching components.) Hope this helps.

I reseated the ram and it snaps into place nicely. I made sure it was grounded as well. I turned the computer back on and got one long beep followed by 3 short beeps and the blank screen again?

it is possible that the ram you installed is bad. put only the original back in and make sure it is in dimm 1 and add them back in one at a time. hopefully you didnt damage the initial ram with static
