computer keeps restarting

hey, i bought a new 60gig 7200rpm WD HD the other day i got it formatted and installed windows xp pro. the computer rebooted as normal during installation. but then it woukld get to the windows loading screen and then it would reboot. it keeps doing this how can i get it to turn on??

If you have already established a connection to the internet, you may be getting Msblasted and you need Fixblast and the msblast patch. If not try a couple of things.
1. System propertiies >> advanced >> settings (startup and recovery) >> uncheck automatic restart (system failure).
2. Start >> run >> msconfig >> startup tab..uncheck all items and restart and renable the items back 50% @ a time, until you locate the culprit and disable it.
See if that helps..

hey, thanks for the help but i got it fixed. i installed a tnt2 and took out the 3dfx it had and that fixed the problems thanks anyways
If your PC is still only booting to the Windows Loading screen, try booting in Safe Mode and following Sabertooth's advice while there. I think you can select safe mode by pressing F8 at the start of the boot. (I hold it down until it does something!)
