Hi
After my computer runs for about 30 minutes sometimes a lot longer and in the middle of me doing something the computer restarts. When windows starts up again it says Windows has recovered from a critical error and gives me the error signature which is: BCCode : 1000007f BCP1 : 00000008 BCP2 : 80042000 BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 0_0 Product : 256_1Can a PCI video card be causing this error? I just recently installed a 64MB pci video card...maybe it is causing complications with the onboard video card? not sure...it can be OS error or hardware misconfiguration...if anyone has any ideas let me know.
Thanks.

Id personally start looking at a possible heat issue. Is this a new gen video card? Does it have ample air flow in your system?

i3k; If you suspect a hardware problem, try the following hardware troubleshooting steps:
1. run diagnostic software (such as MemTest86) and test the RAM in the computer. replace any RAM reported as bad.
make sure all the RAM in the computer is the same speed.2. try removing or swapping out controllers, cards, or other peripherals.
3. try a different motherboard on the computer.
4. if you are over clocking the speed of your processor, set it back to the speed at which it is designed to run.
5. check with the hardware vendor for any updated hardware drivers or BIOS updates, or both.
6. if you using Norton program(s), disable them and see if that helps.
let us know what worked for you...
