Why don't you explain actually what happens?

Example of what might happen:
I am using my computer then all of a sudden the screen goes blank and the computer is on the boot up screen and it is checking the memory.

Ok now you explain what happens.

But does any one action seem to trigger the restart? Or does it just restart as soon as you hit your desktop? Before you hit your desktop?

also if you think that if the PC didn't restart you may be able to see an error message do this:

Right Click on My Computer
Select Properties
Click on the Advanced Tab
Under startup and recovery Click on Settings
Under System Failure Uncheck "Automatically Restart".

That way when the error occurs again the machine will not automatically reboot.

Also have you tried booting in to safe mode? you may need to to do the above step.

Hahhah how polite - people won't help you if youre arrogant. Plus, this would take 5 min to google.

type: xp uncheck automatic restart
or: xp system failure settings restart
