Ok heres the deal... My computer is starting to act really funny. I have totally and completely random restarts several times a day now. I have it set so that windows won't restart when it encounters a problem, but it still just konks out, with no BSOD and no event written to the event log. My CPU temp and system temp are fine, I have no viruses or spyware. I tried system restore, and this still happens. I did just get new RAM before this start, but I ran that Mem-Test program that people reccomend but it doesnt detect any problems after a few hours of running all tests. And a while after that test my computer ran fine, for about two days. But I just restarted my computer, and the random resets are back. Not sure if this has to do with my hard drive, (its 2 years old and has been formated more times then i can remember), ram that has errors but isnt being detected, or just a plain faulty motherboard. (an ECS L7S7A2). Thanks in advanced.

Have you checked your system for the blaster worm? Try the tool from Symantec's website.

Try replacing your Power Supply and see if the problems go away.

kevin is right about the power supply but there is also a slight chance it could be your ram. Replace the power supply first if it still acts up reinstall or do a restore on windows (because a few files might have become corrupted) If still to no avail as soon as it starts acting up pop the memtest86 disc in reboot and let it test the memory for a couple of hours. But hopefully the power supply will do the trick.

Okay, thanks for the help. I'll try the power supply first, then go on to test the RAM (the power supply says designed for pentium 4, and i have an amd athlon, wonder if that has anything to do with it....). Anyways, thanks for the advice.. as always.
