If it restarts alone every few minutes after completing the Windows boot, it looks more that you've got a virus instead of harddrive problems, post more details.

If you overclocked it could be taht otherwise a loose screw in the case could be shorting it out.

right click my computer. properties. advanced tab. startup and recovery. and uncheck to auto restart.

this will allow you to get a blue screen with an error code that you may post back here.

Ok, I have a similar error that the 1st post stated. My pc keeps roobing non-stop. This is my situtation ( Whenever my pc reboots it loads the usual bios then finally gets to the windows sign in screen. Then in a matter of 5seconds you can say it reboots once again. This is a continued deal that upsets me so much.) Lets get to the facts, I install Zygate firewall which I believe thats what is called and had to reboot my pc. Also I ran trenmicro and nortons online scan before I install this program and got rid of a trojan virus I had. So my PC was considered clean and rebooting the pc from the installation. I have Zone Alarm Security and now all I is a indefinite rebooting pc. Somebody please tell me what software or procedures I need to take in consideration. Meaning what type of software can I use that can be booted and repair my issue because I can't logg on to windows so I have to take care of this problem before the logg in. Thank you for your time and hope someone can help me before I just get upset enough to reinstall xp. Farewell all.
