Hi there

Was wondering if anybody could help with a strange problem i have. It seems the after sometime on my computer, it acts as if its 'stuttering'. For example if i move the mouse pointer across the screen, it periodically stops and starts for very short periods. Its not hugley noticable but enough to be annoying. The same goes for any videos that i play, even though they are fully loaded they will also stutter in the same manner. Can anybody help or suggest what might be causing this?. I did think it was my wireless mouse but i changed the batteries and re-connected the mouse but when i noticed video playback was doing the same i realised it must be the computer/software. Could it be software that is running, for example i have spy-sweeper and AVG.

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks

It may be a tracker. Search in the files for 'tracker'
Do a virus check too.

check system performance too. Press ctrl+alt+del. Choose performance.

If CPU near 100% a lot, then can't get the 'interupt request' from input devices immediately.

Thanks guys for all your input.

First i tried out retroguy's suggestion and the system performance reports that the CPU was using 2 - 4% resource while idle. I moved the mouse around and opened abit and opened a new web pape of which it topped 74% and then dropped again. So no problem there but thanks for the info.

Secondly i went with brucerac's' suggestion and ran a scan using AVG and SpySweeper. No issues were found with AVG but i did find about 30 Spy cookies or something on SpySweeper. Reading the description it says that it tracks what i do etc. So deleetd them and i'm waiting to see if anything happens.

I will try out sabertooth's suggestion if i still get nowhere.

But so far so good

Thanks
