computer hangs from time to time

I got a PC 4 years ago and now I have updated the mobo and the cpu
but from the very first day (and after the update as well) it hangs, from time to time (say, once a day, or now, after the update, even more).
The cursor gets stuck in a place and the system doesn't respond to any keystroke or mouse-movement. Is dead!
I suspect It has to be a keyboard incompatibilty, maybe a mouse one... but,... how to check?
