computer hang

computer hangs for about 2 to 5 min.then eventually shuts down.this is on "windows is shutting down" screen

It would be worth running your AV and malware scanners because "nasties" can cause all sorts of havoc.

There is a possibility of overheating so maybe it's time to ensure your case vents, CPU heatsink and fans are not bunged with fluff. If you haven't done this lately it would be worthwhile anyhow.

A faulty Power Supply Unit has been known to cause this problem too, so if all else fails see if you can find a friendly repair shop who will test the PSU for you.
