Computer frooze after reofrmatting

Well, this is my case. I reformatted my laptop about a day ago. I installed afew of the program, AIM, dc, flash, ect.. and i have been usin the inernet a bit, and then all of a sudden the computer goes wicked slow, takes like 2 minutes to open a program, pop ups r everywhere, somehting is not rihgt, one second im visintg yahoo.com th next i have 12 icons on the desktop about poker, and offers n s---, this si killen my computer. i have 2....2 pop up blockers n there still going thru, anyone have a wicked awsome pop up blocker and optimizes the machines performanince ?

What? If you have icons on your -desktop- this is a big problem. If you just have pop-up windows opening. Switch to Mozilla - much better for web browsing and email.

Mozilla will not fix the problem. Upgrade to SP2, and do a spyware scan.
