Heya,
So for the past 3 days my computer has been
randomly freezing. I originally thought that the
cause was from some music I downloaded,
but I did a full virus scan using Norton Anti-
Virus which came up clean (It also took hours
because everytime it froze I had to restart) I
even deleted the files just to be safe. It
seemed to work after that but it still freezes in
a time span of 2-30 minuets and the only was
to reboot is to maually shut it down by holding
the power button.I've been looking at google chrome forums and
many people seem to be having the same
problem, but they have all upgraded to google
chrome 2.0, while I'm still using ver.1.And I
also have chrome on my laptop and its
working fine (I'm writing this from my laptop)We've had the computer for years and its never
done anything like this before, any help would
be greatly appreciated!!

Event viewer logs to start.
"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Thank you very much for the reply, but unfortunately I'm not very
tech savy and really don't understand what you mean. Sorry!

Yeah, its a good idea to check the event viewer.
1.Click Start
2.Click Control Panel
3. Click System and Maintenance
4. Click Administrative Tools
5. Double-Click Event Viewer.
6. Under Windows logs, Click System tab
7. Check for red errors icons and the exclamation icons. Also there may a few other reason why its freezing such ast registry problems, RAM usage, driver conflicts. dust.
Hope this helps.
