My problem still persists, and I am repeating this message since my last one was deleted for some reason.
When I open practically any application/program on my PC, especially Internet Explorer or various games, the computer freezes, and I am forced to reboot. This has begun occuring recently, and I have no clue what the reason for this might be....Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
I have 512 MB's of memory and I do not have very many processes running that would cause this.

It sounds like you're over-heating. Could your fans have failed?
Check the Event Viewer for some clues. Control Panel\Administrative Tools\Event Viewer.
Open the Task Manager and see how many background programs you have running. Hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and select the processes tab. Try turning some of them off and then do whatever you normally do to see if it crashes.
Go to PC PitStop.com and run a complete check on your unit. You may find many things screwed up, but repairable. Hit the “Full Tests” link in the upper-left section.

I checked my fans, and they are working perfectly.
The test did not report any serious issues on my PC, although these were the Tips that the test gave me:
Customized Tune-up Tips
• Clean up disk space (Drive C)
• Defragment files (Drive C)
• Check background programs
• Adjust IE browser cache size
• Check disabled devices
If I delete certain running processes, my problem actually becomes worse, as my entire PC freezes. Most of the processes are from Norton Antivirus 2004, but they do not seem to take up much of my memory.

I also might add that I used the Error-Checking (which did not find anything wrong) and Disk Defragmentation featurn: KC but they do not seem to solve anything.

nevermind...I solved the problem...
I guess no one cares how, considering I'm practically the only one who actually posted anything regarding this problem....
