computer freezes right after login

February 9, 2009 at 16:43:22
Specs: Windows XP
every time i start my computer, it seems to be working fine until i log in. then, about 10 seconds later, the screen freezes. I just tried cleaning the fans in the back with a can of air but when i got everything hooked back up it still does it. It does it on all of my user accounts too.

Does it do the same when you are in Windows Safe-Mode ????

If Safe-Mode works,
Try System Restore to a date when all was good.
Start >All Programs >Accessories >System Tools

Using System Restore too many times can cause
more harm than good. After doing a restore
that does not fix a problem, then UNDO the
Restoration, and try another restore point, or
just do the UNDO.
