I have a trouble opening my vikeo files with divx program. If I right click the file, divx is not listed in 'choose program 'menu.Even when I browse and choose divx player it still does not come up and file opens with previously selected program. All this happened when I uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Is there some way i can fix it?

I sort of had the same problem. Mainly with downloaded movie clips. I couldn't get windows media player to play them.So i downloaded a divx player and when i installed it it installed the codes to let my windows media player play the video.I cannot select my "open with" right click either. It is not there. However my windows media player will play then fine now.Sometimes i get one that nothing will play, that could be a file someone has messed with and just named it a video file when it really is not.

try installing a video codec pack, it should work...also try xvid codec

if your divx player doesnt appear in the "open with" list in that box, you can click the browse button and navigate to your folder where the divx player is and i think that will add to that open list...then you can check the box indicating that you want this program to open all these files
