Computer automatically re-starts

...after you have shut it down (power off). It may just take from a few minutes to even a few hours, but everytime you normally shut it down, it starts again, by itself. All updates are run in both OS and other software, so everything should be up-to-date. It's a totally new computer. Probably need to take it back to the dealer...

Hi I had the same probs with my brand new pc. There is something called wake on lan in the Bios if it is enabled pc will switch on with phone line activity. I had to disable this but was advised not to attempt it if i was a novice. So I contacted pc manufacturer and they talked me through it over the phone. Hope this helps:o)

Yes I had a simmilar problem when I was runnin 3dmark 2001, it ran fine in it's default setting, but when ran it again with default settings and just put the resolution down to 640x600 16 bit it restarted automaticlly.
