Disk cleanup has stopped compressing old files on my machine..I've read on here how to fix that, but can't remember..involves reg edit, I think. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, all.

I've been told it's compressed all that it can, but I find that hard to believe. Sometimes it just tells me there's only 56K to compress, other days it tells me tens or even hundreds of MBs

Sorry, I didn't know you meant it froze when it was cleaning, I thought you meant it wasn't finding any files to compess.

El Klandero, mine wasn't freezing..worked good for a year, then it just started leaving the old files, not even trying to compress them..I think it's an ms glitch, because I had the same problem on an HP I had..
