I understand that when I delete a file, Windows just remove the filename from being assessed. Eraser software just overwrites the data with 0 or random data. How do I completely remove the filename and data of a file?

Is the FBI after you? :-)

Eraser will make the file unreadable to most ppl. To delete any traces of the filename, you will have to edit the FAT on the drive.
