COMPLETELY (for sure) DELETE FILES ???

January 24, 2010 at 12:34:24
Specs: Windows XP, 3gb

I am needing to COMPLETELY delete files from an external usb drive that is going to be changing owners.

I have tried:

-Regular deletion..........

-Then tried a secure delete with a utility called "Shredder"....

-And then even actually Formatting the drive.

HOWEVER....when scanning with an undelete utility.....it finds virtually all the files (provides a listing by name)....and many to most of them have a recovery status of either "Good" or "Excellent"

Is there a process or utility (hopefully free) to use that will REALLY delete the files?

Thanks Very Much.

its quiet easy, i believe its called glary utillitys and its free, it
makes everything deleted and unrecoverable even with the
most expensive and the best recover applications EVER!!!

Clean as a WHISTLE !

That did the job....I even selected the "deep scan" option....and it didn't find a thing.

Thanks very much....

BTW...this program is an entire suite of utilities...for techs and hobbyist...it may be something to keep in your tool box.

It's worth having for the file cleaner alone, IMO
