Specs: Windows XP
ok, so. my computer doesn't recognise my floppy disk drive. so neither of my CD drives are opperational. ontop of that, my windows isn't loading. under normal circumstances i would just simply repair it through the cd and lay another copy over it. but because my CD drives arent working i cant read the disk to repair it. my frustration is at an alltime high here. any suggestions or walkthroughs because i just forget the whole thing and frag it?

mmm... does sound like a few problems... and possibly all due to one issue?

Make/model etc. of PC?

When you power up do any lights come on; and sounds of things spinning up (the HD)?

Can you get into the bios/setup area - as in do you see "anything" on the screen when you power up - and if so press the appropriate key(s)??

i use a dell. a demention 9200.
when i power up things are spinning and lights and what not.
i cant get into the bios. it keeps on saying that it cant find it.
i can see things on the screen.
i dont have sufficient funds right now so i really dont want to call up dell tech support only for them to tell me one thing and it fixes the whole problem for 50 bucks.

they keyboard is a logitech g15. it responds most of the time.

on the screen it starts up like normal and when it comes down to the small loading screen between the dell and windows loading screen it says the whole "floppy diskette seek failure. press F1 to continue, press f2 for setup cause i suck" thing. so i press f1 and i move onto the windows loading screen or press f2 and have no idea what i'm supost to do.

everything was working fine before and then i just got really laggy for no reasion but the computer made that whole "hang on. i'm running somthing" sound. i then tried to restart my computer and after half an hour or waiting forit to shut down i just pressed the "" button and shut it down manually
