hi sir can i upgrade my processor because my processor is only 2.66 ghz so i want to upgrade it to dual core 3.0 ghz my mother board is ASROCK 775i65PE

Your board is actually pretty outdated, so Pentium D 925 is the best dual core 3 GHz supported.

I have to warn you that PD 925 is also based on NetBurst architecture, which is quite outdated, so it`s basically 2xP4 in one package.

What do you use the computer for? My general recommendation would be Pentium Dual Core E5400 (which is based on totally different architecture than Pentium D), GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L and 1 or 2 GB DDR2 memory.

G31 motherboard - 52$
E5400 72$
Corsair 2x1GB 800MHz memory - 35$
...which equals ~160$, and you get much more from the system.

I agree, you won't get any improvement for the price.
