Hi I have a Windows XP computer running Office XP or 2002 and I want to transfer all my documents, spreadsheets, emails address book etc to a computer running Win98 and Office 97. Are the programs backward compatible or will the XP computer not be able to read them? Any ideas????

On programs such as Access you may need to convert databases from 2002 to 97. If you need to do it in Word or Excel I'm sure they have the same option in 2002 to convert back. If you wanna try it just put an Excel and Word doc on a floppy and try them on the Office 97 computer.

office can be on 2 computers simultaneously if you have a legal copy of office xp and only installed on 1 of 2 machines you own ,go ahead and install office xp on the 98 machine.
