compaq bios Power on password

CPU/Ram: 1.9 ghz/ 256 mb
Product: compaq/ evo d510

i have tried resetting bios, and removing the bios battery, but the computer still asks for a power on password and i cannot even get to the bios menu. is there a default password for this model?. and im wondering if it was caused after i installed a new ram stick because thats when i started recieving this message.
