first of all did you smell ant think burning ...if you didnt reinstall the fan properly you may not be getting the heat away from the cpu their fore you may have fried your cpu..allso check that your fan is plugged bak in..
allso, did u remove the cpu ,if so check that you replaced the lever for the clamp bak again ..this ensures that the pins in the cpu are contacting properly and letting your cpu runn normally ...and also check that you didnt blow any of this dust into those little holes where the pins from the cpu go into or they could be causing a bad cpu conection aswell...
good luk...
sory bout the bad gramma im just lazy, ect ect....

ok...
im thinking you have disturbed something when you have cleaned it ...not sure what sort of vacume cleaner you used but i hope it wasnt too harsh..
try all your plugs for a start ribbins to your hard drive and cd roms ect ,also check your ram and if all that fails check all your cards and your cpu even though you didnt remove it it may have been disslodged...
ohh i just realised another thing ...im realy hopping this isnt it but the No 1` enemy or computer components is static electricity...when you use a vacume cleaner esspecially plastic (as you know allot of them are )..they creat static electricity...and therefore you might have #%$@$%# your computer...im realy hoping for your sake its just a bad hdd conection ...
good luck again...

i didn't let the vaccum cleaner get too close so i doubt it damaged anything. i plugged the hdd, cpu fan, and ram but no use. i didn't hear any 'static' sound so i hope that's not the case ^^; anyway to get even the bios loaded? nothing's loading so i'm very worried.

sorry im outof ideas..
id doubt if you would have heard the static electricity if thats what had happened...but im thinking along those lines or a phicical problem eg:bad connection..i hope you can work it out ...
just to clarify.where i work we use industriall vacume cleaners for cleaning out pits ect...when the statc builds up in those babies you can see it heart it and feel it ...big time if your not carefull...the whole point is its surprising how quickly the electrisity will build up and the amount it will store before realeased..so it doesent surprse me that a home vaccume would cause a big problem for a computer ...if any think ,,i hope at least this might help others to be detered from using such measures for cleaning a computer...
once again good luck and sorry bout the bad news

Try re-seating you video card in the agp slot

It's been my experience that that was the cause on many asus boards

you should have a jumper on your motherboard somehwere. Just read the manual that came with your motherboard, and read up on the jumper for it.. It's saved me a few times.
