I noticed in the Task Manager that "updates from HP agent " is always running.Whats that?

It is one of the perks of owning a propietary system - the program is there to update some of the propietary bloatware that came pre-loaded with your machine - if you do not like it, go into your startup programs menu & nuke it or uninstall it if it is listed in your add/remove programs console.
