I have this sound problem with my laptop. I am not sure if its the sound card or something running on the comp, but it is playing weird audio. It is like a subliminal message or whatever playing on my comp. I can only hear it when I have my headphone to the headphone input on the laptop. They are random sounds that has such rude remarks and lots of cursing. I am not sure what is causing the file to play or where the files are located, but it only plays when I put my headphones on. The laptop internal speakers aren't playing it though. I am not sure if its a virus or a spyware since adaware and norton didn't pick up anything. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Not sure if this might help, but its a log from HiJackThis

You're probably picking up the signal from a baby monitor somewhere nearby. I used to listen to the neighbors across the street fighting like cats and dogs. It was hilarious. I felt sorry for the poor baby, though.

Hi John,

If it's just a 'sound scheme' that you somehow downloaded, turn it off using 'Sounds & Audio Devices'(ControlPanel). Norton wouldn't pick that up.
Your volume-settings could be such that you only hear the sounds on your headphone.

Maybe you have enabled some service to send you 'update' messages which are ads or other dumb stuff (as Tailseh suggested?).
Could be a virus, ...

Or maybe Tailseh, Dick & especially Hooner are right. :)
