Hi there....
Recently, i got this problem of "PAGEFAULT_IN_NON_PAGE_AREA" after trying to install program from a CD. After all the advice from ppl ard me, I sent the ram for checking, no fault there....
I repositioned the ram in either of the slot, no fault there also...

Being a bit reluctant to reformat my OS, I updated my BIOS, which i think i managed to do successfully... (not exactly sure if what i did was correct: i DL the version of BIOS from MSI, flashed my BIOS from DOS mode, i did get a indication that flash completed)....

The problem comes now... I rebooted my comp, and a screen saying that "CMOS/(something something) BAD", and i pressed F11 (i think) to went into the BIOS mode, save my current settings, and rebooted again.... But the comp refused to start up. I open my comp and tried to on it again, and i saw the processor fan came on for a while and went off again (sorry, the LED displays on my CPU dosent work, so tats a way of checking if the comp runs...). Dun think its the problem with the power supply, so wat could be the problem?

sounds like you may have installed the wrong bios. Did you keep a backup copy of the old 1. You should have been prompted to save a copy.
Second thing is to report exactly what was said in an error message..."something/something" really does not cut it.
Lastly it maybe that your mobo just fried itself. One should not just go to doing a bios flash unless absolutely neccesary.
You might try to restart and enter the bios again and click on the install default tab and see if it will restore the default settings. You may have to reset the date/time settings. then save and exit. If the cpu fan does not remain running shut down immediately and try placing a house fan to blowing directly into the pc and try to reboot again. If the cpu fan shuts down again then you probably blew the mobo

c0pyfiles: nah... the comp wouldnt even start up long enough for anything to appear on the screen, so couldnt really use your ideas....

thotaumesh: hmmm.... do you mean the clear CMOS jumper? and in case of flashing the wrong version of the BIOS, after removing the jumper, how do i carry on from there?

Thanks for the responses... :)
