Comment:
When XP starts up, I get a command screen that pops-up/dissappears/pops-up and so on with the command of: C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe. I would like to get rid of it seeing that it seems to have no significance. I saw an earlier post with the same problem but no answer. Hope somebody can help me out. Thanks!

cmd.exe is your command prompt. it sounds like a dos program is starting up when windows does. the only suggestion i have it to use the "msconfig" command. click "start", then "run". type msconfig. then click on the startup tab and disable the program.
