When I start Xp I get an automatic C:/ prompt pop up, what is it doing and what does it want, because I certainly don't want it!

In my case it started after I had a problem with a CD Burner. I was one of the guys that was beta testing XP. I have looked everywhere I could think of to resolve the problem.
It shows up right after it has found the my Cd-Rom and CD burner.

It says to enter 'del' to continue.

I have solved the problem with the burner but the message still appears.

Thanks for your help.

have you tried a last good configuration or to repair xp, this seems to be one of the best ways to solve most problems
