Comment:

I used PhotoJam 4 Deluxe to create VideoCD Slide Shows.

I have a Dell Pentium 4 with 1 MB RAM and XP Pro with Service Pack 2.

I recently downloaded Media Player 10.

I am (now) not able to view my VideoCD's (created with PhotoJam 4 Deluxe) using Media Player 10.

I received the following message: 'Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found'.

The VideoCD's (that I created) play just fine on DVD Players attached to televisions. However, the VideoCD's (that I created) will not play on my computer.

I have downloaded codecs from both the DivX and Microsoft sites. (I hope I downloaded the correct codecs) After that, I re-booted my computer. I still cannot view PhotoJam VideoCD's on my computer.

Where do I find the codecs to allow me to use Windows Media Player 10 to view the PhotoJam slide shows that I created.

Thanks for your help.

Marv,
What file extension (i.e. .exe is a file extension) are your Photo Jam video cd's. Are they .mpeg .jpeg etc. With that info I'll be able to assist more.

Thank you,
Jeremy

There is a program that will assist you with finding the codecs to play certain files on the media player. It's called GSPOT. You can find it at this site http://www.headbands.com/gspot/. It's pretty easy to use. Just browse for the file you want to play and hit the render button on the bottom left hand corner and then it will tell you the codec in the upper right hand corner in the FOURCC box. Let me know if it works for you.
