Hi all, can anyone help me again.
What is "Codec" and where will I find out what one I have. I am running Windows Media Player 8.

There are lots of different codecs, but the chances are that the one you want at any particular time, you ain't got.

That can be sorted by downloading the Ace Mega Codec Pro pack.

nimo codec pack
xvid pack
tsunami codem pack

they can all be found by doing a simple google search. i had some codec problems, and i downloaded those... i can watch anything now :)

In windows media player, if there is an error playing a clip because of a codec problem , right click on the file in the playlist and select error details, and it will tell you the codec that is needed (im not sure about wm 8, but definitely 9)
