I had the same problem with my onboard sound card using c-media drivers. The fix for me was to download a generic win2000 driver from my motherboard manufacturers web page, instead of the drivers from cmedia. Now I have sound in two of four speakers. I'm still waiting for a 'real' driver to be released for my sound card so I get sound from all four speakers since this driver doesn't support them.

If you have an onboard version of their sound card you might want to try downloading from your motherboard providers site, not c-medias drivers.

Just an idea...

I too was getting sound in only two speakers so I upgraded to Win XP drivers from www.cmedia.com.tw and now they're working like a dream.
