cmedia pci sound card restarts xp

I connected a new pci sound card and disabled one that is integrated on my 845p4 motherboard (av97).Then all windows 98se,xp,2000 restart after trying to turn off computer.Before installing that card ,all windows auto turn off smoothly.
Can anybody tell me whats wrong?

To disable the onboard audio on my computer I disable not only the AC97 audio controller, but I have *another* CMOS sub-setting for Onboard Audio I disabled too. Check your's to see if there's another audio setting that you missed disabling.
