has DrvImagerXP and DrvClonerXP and are FREE!
I use these, and they work.

If you are willing to pay money, PowerQuest has programs like DriveImage and DriveCopy. http://www.powerquest.com

Hope this Helps :-)

Ray everything is well detailled in their user guides.

My very best advice for you is, it is so much better that you look there than ask anyone to give you a quick walk through on this forum.

As for Norton GHOST, it cannot be used with ROXIO'S GO BACK (Restore program) and also you cannot image to a CD-R deive if it is connected with a USB cable, as these MAY be part of your problem.

I use Ghost 2003 now & it works flawlessly. It will now do ghosting accross usb & firewire too. I did do an image directly to cd-r as well, but I generally do an image to an extra hard drive-then burn it. If your xp install (clean) is small enough, say 1.84 gigs it can be imaged with maximum compression to fit on a CD-R. I have done this many times & also have a 6.5 gig image on a HD saved. 2003 can now be run from windows also which is cool. I tried Drive Image too, but it was slower & took up more space-but it worked. I think EC is right, with the GoBack issue, but with ghost who needs goback?
