clock issue

All of sudden, my clock is not working properly. It works fine until the system is left running for a while, and the screen saver comes on. Apparently, when the screen saver activates, the clock is frozen in time until the system is activated again. For example, I quit using the system at 12:40 today, the screen saver kicked in ten minutes later. When I sat down to use the system at 4:10, the clock had stopped at 12:50. As long as the system is being used, the clock works fine. I just put a new litihium battery in to make sure there was nothing wrong with that. Any ideas as to what would cause this?

Have you changed your screen saver? If not have you tried changing it to see if it has any effect?
