First off all allow me to apologize for the clumsy manner in which I ask the question, my terminalogy is quite limited.
When I read different blogs I see specific words that are in red or blue that are "clickable links", they are words, any words, that the author named the link that when you click on it, it takes you to another web page. How do they do that?
I know that if you type in a webpage (http whatever)it creates a clickable link, but how do they take a webpage and rename that page with a short word or phrase, then post it in the blog.
Thanks in advance.

HTML syntax would look like this, only add a < symbol at the front and a > symbol at the end, to get it to work.

A HREF="http:/www.whatever"> name of the link here </A

I suggest using the "target" attribute mentioned on the page "XpUser" provided.

It is pretty much, and no shortage of reference sites

A recent forum feature converts plain text URLs into links automagically for convenience (& the HTML challenged)

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.
