How safe it is to have at "Local Security Settings: Shutdown: Clear virtual memory page file - Enabled" Is it dangerous - will mess up the page file? Any benefits from that?

It will not corrupt your paging file as it will just be rebiult on the system restarting. I have had this setting enabled since I installed XP and it is benificial because the paging file is deleted every time that the system shuts down, and fragmentation is far less than it would be otherwize. Shutdown will take about 10 seconds longer however.

I agree with the above except that the shutdown time could take longer. Mine was 30 seconds longer. It can be a good thing as long as you are willing to put up with long shutdown times.

How about 30 - 45 seconds. Of course the length of time depends on the size of the pagefile.
