hey, I kinda got the DVD player to work, but I had to do 3 month back restore. SO, now all my games and stuff like that were deleted... but they still take up a lot of space on my drive. Do you all know how to clean them up, even if I can't find the program itself in Add/Remove?
Thanks... Killer

killer, what happens if you reinstall each and then use the uninstaller for each? That should get all the remnants of each. Sometimes works better than add/remove.
HTH.

Also once you remove the stuff make sure you run a defragmenter to prevent your HD from getting fragmented.

I have hosed my system with the best of these and you need to know what you are doing and of course you can make backups and restore them, but I have better uses of MY TIME than being on a "merrygo round"!

he's talking about the programs folder..
All entries have been removed except the main files.
The proper way is to install each program again, then uninstall if you nolonger want it.
Junk Internet Explorer,
Get Firefox! You'll be happy you did.

Yeah, What I need to do is to delete the program files. I went to program files folder and deleted it from there, What do you all think?

But that only helped me to clean up 1.5GB of memore. Still it has used about 20GB out of 160GB. You know... I think that games take up at least 5GB of ram... what do you think? I had 4 games on it!

Installing programs puts files in many places on
your system, and they may not be very large. Deleting folders does not remove those files. But it is always best to uninstall programs using Add/Remove programs. Or with this:
