I have tried to do a clean install of windows xp pro (from me). The trouble is that it still left some of my old files/directories on my pc. All i want is a clean install of xp on my computer and nothing else. Please help TIA

Format your hard drive and start with a blank disk.

You can either format and reinstall whole XP or...
If you have problems reinstalling on a clean formatted disk, follow this link and down load the file into 6 floppies. It works !!

Many Thanks people,,,, In the end, someone told me to change the sequence of boot up to CD Rom first,,, then boot with the XP disc and format from there
