Just install the XP Pro and get it running good then upgrade to SP2.

Just don't tell anyone and I guarantee you that M$ will not knock on your door.

Hi NEO123

This site gives info on how to clean install with an XP upgrade CD.
All that is required is a previous qualifying CD...even an old Win 98 CD will do.

Good luck

So Windows Me is bundled in with the restore CD meaning all the drivers are on that CD with Windows Me?

If that is the case what I would suggest is for you to downlaod all the drivers for that pc off of the packard bell website save them and then make a new folder and name it drivers and put all of the exe drivers in that folder. Then go out abd buy a copy of Windows XP home or Pro and Fdisk the hard drive to make sure there wasn't a restorer partition on it and make a new partiton then install Windows XP.
