ok - so i just got up here adn this computer is having sound issues - sound is very choppy when playing music/youtube/dvds everytime this happens on my mac - I just reset the pram and everything is fine - is there a comprable fix in xp? I mean I know the whole cut back on your background running programs etc - did that - seemed not to work well - tis pc is still like mouse trail slow...... emptied the temp internet files - checked the defrag - said it didnt needed to be degraged - only 35% of the space used on hd - im at a loss here any suggestions - I feel like its a quick fix, but honestly not sure what that fix is! plan was to run a system restore - i know that will work - but I feel like theres something more simple than tat! btw - i regret the day they stopped including drivers and software in with comps and just included restore cds! used to work on pcs alot - rusty these days - any and all help is greatly apprecaited! lots of light Teddy

get a sound card perhaps?
